Around them are bright lights, focused upon their shaking nerves and faces. In front of them is a crowd with a continuous stir and intensity of feelings. Beside them is the answer to the question everyone is excited and nervous to know — between the Davids, who will be the next American Idol?

Anyway, just this noon, enrollment was finally over and I’m now an official Senior. Well mulling over it, at first I cannot believe that (1) I’m close to surviving the hell of high school, (2) time, really, is so fast, (3) boy, am I really that old? (4) geez…
Nothing substantial, really. I just don’t think I’m ready enough to graduate high school and go to college. I mean, I don’t even know yet what course to take and I’m not even sure of where to study. I’m baffled as a stray cat who doesn’t know which garbage dump to eat. But I guess I’m just looking forward to it too far. I still have a year to decide and to somehow, prepare myself for a maturer role in life. For now, I’ma unwind a bit and enjoy the last days of summer.
